Today, we laid a great man to rest. Dean Klinger was a 48 year member of our department, a Korean War veteran, very involved in the Masons, and a great friend and family man. We would like to extend our appreciation to the many departments that assisted with the procession; Nanjemoy VFD, Potomac Heights VFD, LaPlata VFD, Newburg VFD, Dentsville VFD, Hughesville VFD, Bryans Road VFD, Cobb Island VFD, Indian Head VFD, Bel Alton VFD, and Waldorf VFD. We would also like to thank the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and their multi-police agency coordination for the procession. Last but not least, we couldn’t have given Mr. Klinger the proper send off without our station being covered for the day by our brothers from Bryans Road VFD and Hollywood VFD.
