Monday evening, units were alerted to a structure fire on Ripley Way. Engine 8-3, RS8, Tanker 8, Engine 8-4, PA-8, Chief 8, Chief 8A, Chief 8-B, and Duty Officer 8 responded with a total of 16 volunteers. Crews arrived to find fire in an attic of a single family dwelling. Engine 8-3 advanced a line to extinguish the fire. Crews from Engine 201(NDW), Truck 1 (LaPlata), and Engine 11-2 (Bryans Road) assisted with interior operations. The fire displaced 5 occupants that are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
