Last night, members trained on battery-related emergencies. As new technologies emerge with energy storage, our members need to know the most up to date information on how to handle emergencies. Currently, a massive solar complex is being built in our response area, and we see more and more electric cars. These advances in technology force us to constantly research. Traditional firefighting methods on fires involving batteries can cause more harm than good, so we have to be able to adapt to modern methods.
