Yesterday afternoon, units were alerted for a collision with entrapment on Port Tobacco Road near Gunston Road. Engine 8-2, Engine 8-3, Brush 8-4, PA8, and Duty Officer 8 responded. Crews found a head-on collision involving two pickup trucks with one occupant pinned. The crews immediately began working to extricate the pinned patient. Rescue Squad 7 arrived and assisted. Rescue Engine 4 set up a landing zone for two helicopters nearby. Both patients were treated and transported to area trauma centers. PA519, PA209, A58-8, and the Western Medical Duty Officer were also on the scene.
