Last week, our company drill focused on hunting emergencies. Each year, we respond to a variety of hunting emergencies. The challenges include removing hunters from heights, treating patients for falls from heights, hypothermia, and removing patients from remote locations. Our members continuously train and are equipped to handle many types of emergencies. For hunters, it’s very important that you let a friend or family member know when you’ll be out, and when they should expect you back. Also, it’s very wise to ensure you have a backup battery for your cell phone. Advances in technology can pinpoint your location if you have to call for assistance.
