Yesterday morning, units were alerted to a collision with entrapment in the 5000 block of Mason Springs Road. RS8, PA8, Chief 8A, and Battalion Chief 8C responded. Units arrived to find a pickup truck vs. unoccupied school bus head on collision with one occupant trapped. The crew from RS8 worked to free the trapped occupant from the truck. RS7 (Potomac Heights), RE113 (Bryans Road), Engine 201, PA209, and Truck 20 (NDWFD), as well as the DES Medical Duty Officer also operated on the scene. The patient was transported by helicopter to an area trauma center for treatment.
