The surge of incidents continued yesterday evening. Engine 83 and Tanker 8 responded to a working garage fire in the 7200 block of Hawthorne Road. Engine 83 arrived as the 2nd engine and assisted units with extinguishment and overhaul. This was the third working fire we responded to in 36 hours.

Rescue Squad 8 was alerted to assist with a medical call on Mulberry Grove Place in Port Tobacco. Crews encountered a long, steep driveway that was covered in packed ice. Emergency vehicles and a UTV were unable to make it up the driveway. The crew from the Rescue Squad donned ice cleats and trekked up the icy hill. The crew used a SKED stretcher to get the patient out to the ambulance for transport.
