Last night, a severe storm ripped through our area. The area was under a tornado warning for a brief period of time. Our department responded to numerous calls for service related to the storm. These calls included fallen trees, powerline and transformer issues, an electrical short, and a tree that fell on a passing vehicle. Two occupants of the vehicle were evaluated and transported for minor injuries.
With the extreme summer weather, these severe storms can pop up quickly. Please check out the attached checklist and make sure your family is prepared.
